Thanks for joining us on our trip of a lifetime. We are Adam and Kir Craze and we have decided to finally do it! Step off the rat race train and do what we have been dreaming of and working towards our life together so far. We met in Brisbane in 1998 – Adam growing up between Brisbane and the Gold Coast Hinterland family farms and Kir growing up in Brisbane but living for weekends and holidays at Bribie and Fraser Islands. As soon as we became a couple we dreamed of the day that we could run away and explore Australia. We would go away every opportunity we could to discover new places and meet new people.

We moved to Melbourne in 2000 in order to take on a new adventure and work towards the dream of getting out there. It was a big adventure adjustment moving from Brisbane to Melbourne.  We had been spoilt by having easy access to some of the best Off Road beaches there are.  4×4 Driving on Bribie, Moreton, Stradbroke and Fraser Islands were regular for us.  With no beach driving in Melbourne, we wondered where we could keep doing what we love.  It was early days of the Internet and we met some great people that introduced us to the Victorian High Country – by our view, one of the most underrated 4×4 and Camping destinations in Australia.

We had our first Simpson Desert crossing in 2005 and it instantly became one of our favourite places.  The Red Dunes, endless Starry night sky and incredible feeling that comes from spending time out there is magnetic.  We love it so much; we have taken friends out there to experience it with our last trip #18. 

Our first Cape York trip was in 2010 – of course we took the Telegraph track with our camper in tow.  The Ultimate Camper ate it up with no dramas.  We can’t wait to get back up there, it has been way too long.

A fantastic 3.5 month trip to the Kimberley in 2014 lit the fire in us to make sure we get out there while we can do and enjoy everything Australia has to offer. 2020 really brought clarity to us that life is too short and it is time to stop dreaming and do it. In August of 2020 we decided to do it. Take a few months during the lockdown to get everything ready.
